I know that if you purchase a ROMless HC11, and subsequently enable the ROM using the ROMON bit in the Config register ($x03F:1), there is a high probability that you will find some other Motorola customer's program there. This is stated in the HC11 Reference Manual. It seems to me that a Motorola rep told us that sometimes Buffalo would be there, as well. But I can't see any part number listing for an HC11 with Buffalo. But I think that is what they use in their evaluation kits. Best bet is to call Motorola Microcontroller Div. in Austin or call their Freeware BBS there. As mentioned earlier, the 2nd bit of the Config register will enable/disable the internal ROM space. This solves the second question. Hope this helps. -- Marvin Jones Optilink Corp. Petaluma, CA 707.795.9444 X206 uucp: {tekbspa, pyramid, pixar}!optilink!jones cis: 71320,3637 aol: mjones
