Honolulu, Hawaii Lines: 13 Does AppleTalk offer any sort of packet collision detection/correction/ prevention? We have a 22 Mac LocalTalk (using TOPS) network split into two zones (with a server for each zone) using the Liason software bridge. We see a lot of spurious network activity even while nobody is actually doing any work. We also see a lot of mysterious network activity that would disconnect every computer on a zone for up to three minutes at a time. Are we looking at problems with packet collisions or is this something else? -- Yuan Chang "What can go wrong, did" UUCP: {uunet, ucbvax, dcdwest}!ucsd!nosc!uhccux!yuan ARPA: uhccux!yuan@nosc.MIL "Wouldn't you like to INTERNET: yuan@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu be an _A_m_i_g_o_i_d too?!?"
