It is extremely fragile--the upper head WILL break if you look at it funny. This is a big design problem with the Sony drive. Don't take it out of the metal case, either--you'll hit the head and mess it up. If you do, well, I can get 'em fixed--watch out for the places in the back of MacWeek; most of 'em can't really fix dead heads (followup to net.gdead :-) though all claim to. There's an artificial embargo on them. Alex
