We are about to buy an ESDI disk for our 4D120GTX.  A distributor has
offered an Hitachi DK515-78 (780MB, ESDI, 20MHz) at an attractive
price.

Our Iris has an Interphase (sp?) model 3201 ESDI controller.  We are
running Irix 3.2.1 and fx "knows" the "Hitachi 515-78."

*** Question ***  Can the Interphase 3201 controller properly com-
municate with this particular Hitachi drive?

*** Question ***  Is the fx designation of "Hitachi 515-78" sufficient
for our initiallizing, formatting and using the disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
