If you have a 3/460, 3/470, 3/480, you should note an error in:

	Sun 3400 CPU Board Configuration Manual
	(PN 813-2055-11, Rev A 15 May 1989)

The 3-4 jumper in J2100 (at N-19 on the board), should be IN and should be
factory installed that way. (In the manual, it says this jumper is
reserved, should be OUT and is factory installed that way.) If it's not
in, the CPU board will be happy and pass all self-tests, but won't find
a SMD4 controller.
