According to the ERRATA file for X.V11R4, suid-root programs will only
dynamically link against libraries in /usr/lib and /usr/5lib.  Sure
enough, xterm doesn't work when I put the libs where I want them.  I
haven't been able to find any reference to this in the docs; can anyone
point to a specific document with more information on this?

Please reply directly to me; if there is sufficient interest, I will post
a summary.
