Yes, I encountered this problem many times in a hotel room in Santa Fe last week. It only occurred when the modem was plugged in to the phone line. When it happened, the screen would go blank and the machine would have to be power-cycled. Very annoying. It never happened when the modem was not being used. I was able to leave the machine on for many hours without problems, as long as the modem was not in use. I would love to learn of a solution. Bill Pearson
