I'm running 386/ix with X 11.3 release 1.0 from ISC.

Monitor is a NEC 3D, and video card is a ATI VGA wonder with 256K.

I am running X in the VGA mode.

Problem:  When switching virtual consoles and returning to the VC
running X the screen remains blank - and I end up killing X from
another VC.  Put another way - I can't return to the VC running X
after leaving it. 

Is this normal?  Do I have something mis-configured?
