How much memory do you have? Do you run X, VPix, TCP/IP, or other resident core hog? Are you running multiple users? Etc., etc., etc... Yes, Yes, Yes, NFS, and our own X based SCADA system. For a real thrill, try 5 X servers (1 on an internal EGA, and 4 on Sun River Fiber Optic Stations (basicaly a EGA card connected to the '386 bus via a fiber link, absolutley no intelligence)), with at least 3 servers running simultaneously. Not a speed demon but it works. -- Internet : work - pax@megasys.com home - pax@ankh.ftl.fl.us USNail : Megasystems, Inc. 2055 South Congress Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33445 UUCP : {gatech!uflorida!novavax!ankh, mthvax, attmail}!megasys!pax Voice : 407-243-2405 Data: 407-243-2407 Fax: 407-243-2408 Telex: 156281499
