Lines: 22 The problem with the MTI multiplexor is halfway solved... Come to find out that pin 6 was NOT going through on my cable. After fixing that, getty will bring up a login on the line when answering the phone. However, when opening the line as a cua (minor dev num >=128), all incoming text is ignored until a carrier is asserted. Needless to say, uucp just doesn't work well "in the dark." Yes, I could fool uucp by telling it that the line is a "dir" and put the dialing in the chat script, but that is a less than optimal solution when a second or third modem is added to the system. Is there a solution for THIS one? :-) -- Nick Sayer - The Goose Egg public unix - 209-952-5347 (Telebit) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ quack!mrapple@uop.edu !
