I have had a lot of replies by mail and a few followups: 2 netreaders said it means Unix Systems Group, 1 netreader thinks it is Unix Standards Group, 1 believes it it Unix Software Group, 1 netreader was told it is Unified or United Systems Group, and the other nine ones told me it is an acronym for Unix Support Group. I guess I'll have to believe the majority.
