Subject: switching from X11R4 to Sunview with switcher?

I run both Sunview and X11R4 (due to required applications) and
would like to be able to switch between them like switcher allows
you to do.  Unfortunately (but yet fortunately), I am running on 
a SPARCstation 1GX (4.0.3c) and it appears to not have a b&w 
overlay plane.  I have heard rumors of using overview with X10,
but when I try it with X11, I am able to switch from X11 to a 
totally blank, unresponsive screen.  Please send ideas and/or
patches to enable this feat of daring and skill.

PS.. After scanning Xpert, I was able to build X11R4 with no problems
rather quickly....thanks to all who offer fixes and to MIT for
a good release.
