The proposed splitting up of comp.sys.mac sounds like a great idea!

The group is far too heavily trafficked as it is. (60-100 msg a day!)

I would suggest the following categories:

comp.sys.mac.software
comp.sys.mac.views
comp.sys.mac.news
comp.sys.mac.bugs
comp.sys.mac.general
comp.sys.mac.hardware
comp.sys.mac.programmer

The last three already exist, so I guess this would create four new groups.
(comp.sys.mac.general is now just comp.sys.mac).
