Hi Murray,

Since I was the one whom you were trying to send e-mail to, I thought that I'd
follow-up your posting, as there may be others out there whose mailers don't
like UUCP addresses like "uunet!attcan!bob" and who don't know how to get
through (and someone will probably post a correction if I make any mistakes :-)

If a UUCP host doesn't have an officially registered domain, then you can reach
a user on that host, by simply tacking ".UUCP" on the end of the sitename, as
long as you can reach a Smart Mailer, which will take care of forwarding it
accordingly.

Since watmath has a smart mailer, you should be able to just use the 
following path to get through:

	bob@attcan.UUCP

If however, you were on a site that didn't have a mailer that could
handle the ".UUCP" convention, then you could forward your mail to
a site that does. In S/W Ontario, watmath and gpu are a few sites
that do, and on the internet, uunet does as well. Hence, any of the following
should work:

	bob%attcan.UUCP@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca
	bob%attcan.UUCP@watmath.waterloo.edu
	bob%attcan.UUCP@uunet.uu.net

Another way of going through those same sites is by saying that the UUCP path
(ie X!Y!Z) is "at" (ie @) the Smart Mailer Sitename, and any of the following
should also work:

	attcan!bob@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca
	attcan!bob@watmath.waterloo.edu
	attcan!bob@uunet.uu.net
