This position includes responsibility for a variety of operational tasks, problem determination and correction, and helping users with computing problems. Our Center serves about 150 users (both faculty and graduate students) in the departments of Biochemistry, Ecology and Evolution, Neurobiology and Behavior, and several departments in the School of Medicine. The computer is used for statistical analysis, simulations, e-mail, document processing, and other activities in support of research. We also have many microcomputers, a building-wide ethernet LAN connected to the Internet. Qualifications: Master's degree in biology, computer science, mathematics, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years applicable experience, preferably in a research or teaching environment. At least 2 years experience as a systems programmer or equivalent employment. Experience with the IBM VM/SP-CMS operating system is important as is experience with microcomputers and LANs Salary to $45,500 depending upon qualifications.
