Drummer saying how Peart is the pity of drumming and how the Smithereens are god-like... OK thats fine, because not everyone likes the same thing, although I think Drummers Peart bashing is at the least very immature and is not the true spirit of many drummers today... I have been playing for a little over a year and my number one inspiration is Peart, although I have not stayed so closed minded as to other drumming greats in music today... drummers such as Dave Weckl, Chad Wackerman, and the hosts of others that influence and play in todays music... I think its safe to say that not everyone likes the same thing... but is that any reason to go bashing an artist who is so much an influence today? I just had to get this off of my chest because the way drummer talks is as though he is the premier artist in todays music... BTW drummer, how many record contracts did you say you have? --Rob..
