It was a strange sort of album in that it was released after their third album ("Surfer Girl") but was not considered their fourth album. It repeated the three car songs from their first three albums ("409", "Shut Down", "Little Deuce Coupe"), added some other car songs ("Cherry Cherry Coupe", "Spirit of America" the Beach Boys get topical 8-)), and a few strays such as "Be True To Your School". The Beach Boys were the first rock concert I attended as well. The most recent concert I attended was Kodo. "Little Deuce Coupe". Sigh. Whoever posted the original question, thanks for making me feel so old. And when was the last time you listened to the first album you bought? Well, with all the surface noise that has accumulated over the years, it was hard to tell which album I was hearing. My first CD was "Angst" by Klaus Schultze. I wanted something by Tangerine Dream, but the store I bought the CD player from had a VERY limited selection. (But the salesperson did throw in "Computer World" by Kraftwerk.)
