I believe Ska was original reggae (before it was mixed w/ blues)....seems like
it was generally a lot of horn line stuff w/ lots of syncopation, but I''ve
only heard small bits & pieces about it....we had a prof here that claimed to
be from the islands....knew loads about most every kind f music....He played
some Ska in class for us one time to help lecture on jazz poetry...sounded
great.....that's about all *I* can tell you tho.....
