We are NOT going to be running batch jobs as BMP's. This means we will not be able to take advantage of IMS' checkpoint/restart capability. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish restart within a job step? Is there a way to use the DB2 logfiles? For the short term, we're doing an image copy before every update job and single-threading the jobs; this way, we can at least back off and rerun. We'd be happy to hear about vendor offerings, home-written programs, rumors of the above, anything. I'll be happy to summarize the results and post the summary to the list. Thanks! aezzpat at uicvmc.bitnet
