Generally available now (and has been for several years); 2. Able to run native (XA and non-XA), as well as under VM; 3. System-V based; 4. Probably more expensive; 5. On its own UTS-L mailing list, which has subscribers from Amdahl on it (I'm the owner). Non-disclaimer: I have installed, supported, and maintained UTS at Youngstown State University for more than three years. I do not take AIX seriously - yet, anyway.
