I maintain the wiring plant on campus (net and telco) and use the red
demark covers on all the punch blocks that are for internal networks.
Mark them "Digital/Internal" or something like that.

When you must share a block with an existing system cut the covers to the
height you need or use the small red rubber covers that go over the
individual fingers on the block.


This tends to keep pairs in place when out side folks must play.
