I am hoping for a little more speed although I realize that the limiting factor for some of this is the CD-Player. Has anyone experience with using 386 or 386sx for this application? Vice versa has anyone tried using a faster CD player and if so which one? Does it work with Silver Platter? I an also trying to find a way to provide printing without the noise and the high cost of paper. We currently are using Epson 86e's with sound covers. The paper jams, and the sound covers are awkward and clumsy but the cost of the paper and ribbons is not too bad. I have heard good things about the DESK JET but also that it takes bond paper and cartridge ribbon so that paper costs are about .10/page (Ouch) Any other suggestions.
