We are testing a supervised learning algorithm and would like to
benchmark it against some well known data sets.  Does anyone know how
to get the following data sets (preferably by ftp) and/or complete
descriptions of them?  They are: the Thyroid data set, Soybean
diseases, and Chess end games.  Pointers to other extensively tested
data sets would also be appreciated.  Thank you in advance.
