"RISC"ishness is if you figure out how often you use it and how, and put it somewhere that gives maximum utility for the investment given the alternative investments. Perhaps you put it somewhere that real estate isn't so expensive such as off chip, nearer the I/O devices, unless there are other applications that justify it being near chip.
