Is there a reason the following configuration should not work?

The Sun on the bridge can't connect to the Solbourne but can communicate
with hosts on the DEMPR.  Running pings to the Solbourne indicate packets
are getting through.  Trying do anything useful fails.

The network guides I have looked at don't say anyting about this
configuration.
