The failure of QMS UltraScript PC to run on the Packard Bell 80286
Legend V has to due with a "feature" of the Phoenix Bios.

In addition to all the other UltraScript PC settings you must have,
phoenix clones (like my PB) may require the following to be set (in Autoexec):

    SET DOS16M=10

I tried it and it worked.  Thanks to QMS for tracking down a solution.
