We are in the process of selecting an OO language for the design of a large
project. The main alternative is Eiffel / C++.  Since some parts of the
project are real-time, we are interested in a relative performance test
between those 2 languages.

Has someone already accomplished such a benchmark ? 
Even though this may have no real meaning, a similar test Eiffel / C would
also be useful in order to get a strong basis (as far as performance is
concerned).

Any information about Eiffel performance in general or pointer is most welcome.
If other people are interested, I will summarize on the net.
