It doesn't even make us relatives, even though I would expect that if you looked long and hard enough you would find a common ancestor. Back to the original question. In WIN/386 3.0 there is a socket compatibility library to provide socket services over TLI. WIN/386 3.0 is TLI-based and would have none of the socket calls features most programmers have come to expect without that library.
