I'm having a hard time overwriting an existing file and closing it *smaller*
in size than it was before. I'm using NFS, and other than this there are no
problems reading or writing files.  I can overwrite the existing portion,
and enlarge the file by writing beyond it, but I can't make the file shrink.
I've tried explicitly using lseek, but no dice...has anyone run into this?
