There is one Software Etc. store within a 300 mile radius of here that sells Amigas. They say they "are not participating in that deal". Now this store does a HUGE amount of business, and sells LOTS of machines. Many more could be sold via the student discounts by people I know that just won't pay the higher price. Concerning the Software Etc. chain, is the deal left up to the local or area store manager's discretion? The Manager of this particular store is the wife of the local Atari User Group's president... as a side effect, 9 out of 10 employees own ST's or Atari 8 bits. Don't get me wrong, they sell lots of Amigas, but they don't exactly go out of their way to do so if you know what I mean :-) It all boils down to the question of getting the discount direct from Commodore or via mail order? Any ideas? Thanks... ----- Wendell Dingus ...uunet!medsys!wendell
