At the risk of presuming, that test won't work for everyone. I'm not positive about this myself, but there are those (locally) who are convinced that thehy have the 1 meg Agnus in the computer, but it's not enabled for 1 meg chip RAM. I know that the new Agnus will, if inserted but if no traces/jumpers are fixed, act just like the old one and report 512K CHIP. They want some kind of test which will show what type of chip they have without opening the computer. I personally doubt Commodore would ship computers with the new Agnus disabled, but then they've done boneheaded things before... anyway, I hear there's some kind of program somewhere that will detect what version of chip(s) you have. . <<<>>> BTW: I have the new chip and I must say it's nice to be able to run two copies of DPaint III with 150 frame anims each... and still have interlaced WB, etc...
