No flame, but I would like to point out that when Apple introduced the MacII
they made a big deal about the fact that the "Square Pixels" on the Mac color
monitor made the images it produced "crisper, and sharper, and less subject to
distortion."  When the original poster asked his question he definately asked
about the shape of the "pixels".  It was from this referance point that I
made my reponse.  BTW, I respond much better to this type of intelligent 
response than I do to the ones that start off, "You idiot, ..." or somesuch
opening. 

You are very right, in that what was obvious to everyone else, doesn't make 
it obvious to me.
