Keywords: modem,DF112-AA Message-ID: <20325@netnews.upenn.edu> Date: 13 Feb 90 03:49:27 GMT Sender: news@netnews.upenn.edu Reply-To: chaim@eniac.seas.upenn.edu (Chaim Dworkin) Organization: University of Pennsylvania Lines: 23 Recently someone gave me an old DEC modem to use with my Rainbow. It is a DEC DF112-AA 1200 baud modem. It appears not to be an autodial modem, rather it seems to require an attached phone to dial. There is a row of LEDs and a row of buttons along the front. Is there anyone familiar with this modem who can tell me what the buttons along the front do? The buttons are labeled as follows: "LL ST RL DL HS Data/Talk" Obviously the HS switches from 300 to 1200 baud and the Data/Talk does just that. But can anyone tell me what the others do? Additionally, the LEDs are labeled: "SD RD CD TR MR OH HS TM" I know the SD, RD, CD, OH, and HS, but can anyone tell me what the others are? I also discovered that ctrl-C toggles from Talk to Data. Can anyone tell me if there are any other keyboard commands the modem accepts? Thanks very much. Chaim
