Is there any method to capture the content of a text file and put it into a memo field in a dBASE format database? I don't want to type this stuff by hand. I can arrange the input files so that one file goes to one database record (2 or 3 char and date fields, and 1 memo field). Is there any method of dumping the content of a memo field to a file, other than sending a report to file? Yes, I probably _would_ be better off using a text database rather than dBXL, but this is what we have on hand. Please e-mail replies. Thanks for any suggesstions. --------------- My thoughts are my own, not the Navy's ------------------ Esther Lumsdon lumsdon@dtoa1.dt.navy.mil lumsdon%dtrc.arpa David Taylor Research Center, a Navy lab Annapolis Lab cm 301-267-3816 av 281-3816
