I have four DOS and OS/2 workstations that I need to put on Ethernet. I figure about $500 per station for the hardware. What else, at minimum, do I need to get this all to work to the point where we can do file transfers, use a server, and use network applications that make use of named pipes and other application to application level protocols? And how much do each of the additional components cost? Cost is a real issue here, so I'm a little scared about any approach that would require me to buy a particular vendor's server at some outrageous markup. Thanks, Will (sun!portal!cup.portal.com!Will)
