Message-ID: Date: 10 Feb 90 00:46:06 GMT Organization: Class of '92, Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA Lines: 24 I've got a VRAM VGA board with 512K on it... it can access up to 1024x768 in 16 color, and my monitor has no problem with this... I can switch it's mode via INT's from under DOS, but... I'm running Mach, a unix type OS, and can't do the INTs... The people I work with tell me that I can access the modes by putting stuff in the registers on the board directly... They know how to do this, they just need the numbers... So: can anyone give me the numbers for 800x600 [which is a standard vga+ mode that my card can handle, along with any norman vga+ board] as well as the extended 1024x768x16 color mode? Thanks, and please reply via mail since I don't always read this board... --Michael Ginsberg Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ARPA: mg32+@andrew.cmu.edu |Electrocution, n: BITNET:mg32%andrew@cmccvb | Burning at the stake with UUCP: ...!harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!mg32+ | all the modern improvements. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sex is not the answer.
