Put the diskette in the floppy drive, the power up the RT. Select the option to enter the Maintenance Facility. The(You may be asked to choose a keyboard language first, but don't worry -- you'll quit without installing a VRM. Then choose the format disk option. (? get's help). This utility will enable you to rewrite the configuration record, then format the disk. You can pick the format from several canned configurations. Make sure you have a new VRM diskette that supports the 310M drive. Good luck -- I've only done this with 70M disks.
