Hello all ... this is becoming a very educational newsgroup.
 
        Does anyone out there have much feedback or insight to offer on the new
Tandy 1100 FD laptop. On paper it certainly looks good :
 
        6 lbs.
        dos 3.3 & deskmate (inc. a text-processor) built in
        5 hr. re-placeable battery
        640k ram
        1 720k drive
        backlit screen
 
... with a list price of $ 999.00
 
        Is this a good deal ? Has it been on sale for say $ 799 ? Is there an
educational or a corporate discount available ?
 
        How does it compare with the Toshiba 1000 and especially the 1000SE ?
 
I haven't seen a comment yet (good, bad or indifferent) on this machine ...
would anyone care too ?
