	This is a question about Amax, ReadySoft's Macintosh emulator
for the Amiga.  Please respond only via e-mail, as I do not read
comp.sys.amiga, and it seems that "Mac People" and "Amiga People" don't
get along very well in cross-posted topics.  <sigh>

	As I recall, Amax has no hard drive support - a major flaw if one
desires a truly functional Macintosh Emulator.  Neither will Amax accept the
"old" 800k Apple floppy drives - it only recognizes the "newer" 800k
floppy drives (post-platinum?).
	However, I do recall, from when I times when I -was- reading
comp.sys.amiga, that there was a minor hardware hack that would allow one
to use the "older" 800k floppy drives with Amax.
	This got me thinking... Apple's original Hard Drive for the
Macintosh, the old serial HD20, hooked up via the floppy drive port, and
acted like nothing more than a -big- floppy.
	Thus, the question:  Does the hack for using "old" 800k
floppies actually exist, and if so, can the old serial HD20 then be
hooked up to Amax, giving you a hard drive with Amax?  (albeit a slow one)

	Please respond, if you have any idea if this will, or will not
work.  Or, at least, someone send me ReadySoft's phone number, anmd I'll
ask Simon myself...
