Message-ID: <315@fornax.UUCP> Date: 10 Feb 90 08:08:06 GMT Distribution: na Organization: School of Computing Science, SFU, Burnaby, B.C. Canada Lines: 14 Our department is looking for a high-capacity removeable media storage device, with good reliability and a low cost per media cartridge. From what I have hear, floptical drives (which use magnetic discs similar to floppies, but with embedded optical tracks for tracking) would be ideal, but I see none on the Macintosh market yet. Does anyone have any idea when these will arrive? Thanks for the help. Please reply by e-mail--due to the high volume of this newsgroup, I can no longer read it. I will, however, mail summaries to anyone who sends a request, and if there is sufficient interest, will post a summary. Ken McDonald {mcdonald@cs.sfu.ca}
