In it's curent encarnation, the system can experience Extreme slowdowns and even dis- connect for no apparent reason. It does follow the Mac philosophy more than any other service. I wonder why Apple cut their ties to the project? I personal qualm with the service is that they locked me off the service after deciding that my login name was not appropriate for a 'family' service. I responded that there was absolutely nothing scatological about the name (Lone Gonad), and pointed out a number of dictionaries, biology books, etc. which use the word "gonad" without embarrassment. They were not convinced, and their service is easily expendible, so I won't be back. ***************************************************************************** Michael Stern * "My father hated radio and could not wait for (Lone Gonad) * television to be invented so he could hate that stern2.husc2.harvard.edu * too." -Peter de Vries *****************************************************************************
