Reports first appeared in Wednesday's Wall Street Journal that Jean-Louis Gassee will resign from Apple within the next few weeks. The report says Gassee made this decision after Sculley demoted him from Marketing and Manufacturing to put Michael Spindler in the position. Gassee still holds the title of President of Apple Products but is only responsible for product and technological development now. Apple is closed-lipped, of course. This is not turning out to be a good month for Apple. First the switchup, then Gassee thinking of jumping ship, and now newsbytes is reporting about a high-school student that was severly injured by an exploding IIc monitor, and suing Apple as well as Hitatchi (the manufacturer). Hmmm... This is just from what I have read elsewhere, this isn't personal opinion. Louis Koziarz koziarz@uiuc.edu University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana Free Chevy Blazer with enrollment!
