The technique I have used for conversion of cicn's to icl8's is to
open both types of resources with ResEdit with the ResColors additions,
then use ResColor's rectangular marquee selection tool to select then
Copy the cicn, then Paste into the newly created icl8. 

I should probably upload my SunDesk Icons file to comp.binaries.mac.
Nobody should have to put as many hours as I have into creating over
400k of icl8's. Plus I'm a GREAT artist. ;^)
