Thanks for the info about using copy-paste in the ResColors
template within ResEdit to convert cicn's to icl8's.  I 
had discovered this technique, however it is somewhat painful
to use if you want to convert more than a few icons.  What
I had in mind was some sort of MPW script that could DeRez
the cicn file, massage the data in whatever way necessary 
into a icl8, and then Rez a new file.  I've started working
on this myself and I'll post if anything fruitful comes of
this.
