Keywords: Don't worry, be, ...hell, I'm worried. Message-ID: <2086@lamont.ldgo.columbia.edu> Date: 6 Feb 90 14:52:38 GMT Organization: Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory N.Y. Lines: 17 Thanks to those of you who responded to my message about my mac+ screen going bad. If you recall, the screen abruptly began to show two wavering white horizontal lines, one at the top and one at the bottom of the screen. This eventually got worse and the lines would merge momentarily merge in the center of the display. The replies I received, while containing some very useful information about analog boards going bad and bad soldering points, dealt (as far as I can tell) exclusively with "vertical line syndrome". So I request a bit more info. Are my two horizontal lines early symptoms of "vertical line syndrome" or is this something completely different? And in any case, is the fix for this the same as for VLS? Please reply to mudpit@lamont.ldgo.columbia.edu. I'll hold my breath until you do. Thanks again --Dan Quoidbach
