  I don't know if any other CD ROM drives do this, but the Apple drive won't
play the music on CDs past about 72 minutes. I have had the thing for a while
now, but I just noticed it when I tried to play a Beethoven disk that was 76
minutes long. It just stopped about halfway from the end of the 4th movement
of the 8th symphony. What a bummer.
