From the info received, and a call to my local Apple dealer, it seems the following is the case: Certain Mac IIs *are* defective, in that a PMMU cannot be plugged in. Symptom? When the machine is booted, the screen goes blank. Apple will provide a free motherboard swap. You machine will be affected if you have Rev. A ROMs. They moved to Rev.
