Lines: 20 Last year, I installed a quiet fan on my Mac II, which made a big difference. An hour ago, I installed a Nova fan controller, which made a big difference. The problem is that my hard disk is now the loudest thing on my computer. I believe that it now makes more noise than it did when I bought it. Occasionally, it makes a really loud whine, but I'm not really worried about that. Would it make a difference if I oiled the hard drive motor? How is this done? What kind of oil should be used? -- David Elliott dce@smsc.sony.com | ...!{uunet,mips}!sonyusa!dce (408)944-4073 "You see everything -- you're omnivorous."
