That's what he saw: 595 KB/s

On a MAXTOR XT-8380S I've gotten 580 KB/s   (disk -> SCSI -> NeXT)

On a Wren IV 94171-307 I've gotten 630 KB/s   (disk -> SCSI -> NeXT)
