    I've recently borrowed a keyboard (Korg 707) and MIDI
interface (Studio Plus Two) and so I've been experimenting
with the MIDI examples on my NeXT, but without much success.
    Something in either the MIDI driver or Mach (???) won't let
me run the demos:

------- playmidifile ------------------

   zephyr> playmidifile -f DrugsAreDeath.midi
    using midi port: A
   *** Level 0 Midifile with 1 track[s]

   become owner : access requested to existing exclusive access port.

------- MidiPlay ----------------------

  No response whatsoever using both Port A and B. What do
they mean by the top port, anyway?
    
------- playscorefilemidi -------------

   zephyr> playscorefilemidi </NextLibrary/Music/Scores/Gamelan.score
   Music Kit : Problem opening Midi device. Mach Error: ownership rights
   required
   playing....

   Anyone have any ideas on this? It happens the same whether I am
root or not. I shut down and rebooted, and playmidifile worked
for two trials before refusing to play anymore. Sigh.....
